A good place to begin a week's trip is by flying into Albuquerque, which has a centrally located airport. This growing metropolis with its many medical facilities, is also the home of the University of New Mexico and several outstanding museums such as the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
It has an impressive array of exhibits, art and artifacts representing the 19 New Mexico Indian Pueblos. This museum is a must for those who are interested in Native American art and culture. The Acoma Pueblo west of the city, is also a huge tourist draw.
